Objectives: strengthening regional engagement, visibility, and collaboration within the LandAware network and across Latin America.
Proposal of activities/actions:
- Promote regional collaboration: by engaging LandAware associates from the region and additional researchers, institutional stakeholders, and government representatives relevant to landslide risk reduction and disaster prevention in Latin America.
- Organize specific meetings to present and discuss ongoing projects in the region: research activities on landslide science and risk management, as well as technical and institutional presentations on operational LEWS activities.
- Promote major scientific events (or dedicated sessions related to landslides and LEWS) to be hosted in Latin American countries.
- Promote international collaboration among LandAware associates and researchers and practitioners from Latin America.
Language for the meetings: Spanish, Portuguese and English
